Robertson Oval Amenities Building

Project Update

In late 2019 Council successfully applied for a grant through the Building Better Regions Grant (round 4) to replace the Amenities Block at Robertson Oval, Dunedoo. In broad terms the project required demolition of the existing structure, and construction of the new structure.

The Project was undertaken in three phases:

1. Building Design (complete) - This phase involved consultation with the community via the Robertson Oval Advisory Committee regarding the design requirements. The appointed design consultants, Barnson, prepared plans and specifications for the facility, considering the community’s input. There were two options for which pricing was sought: Option 1 with two change rooms plus a Gym, whereas Option 2 comprises four change rooms and no gym.

2. Contract Award (complete in May 2021) - The tender process. On 20 May 2021 Council resolved to appoint Maas Constructions (Dubbo) as the builder. The build option includes four change rooms, no gym -  see the design shown.

3. Construction Phase (Practical Completion May 2022)  - This included the demolition of the existing structure, and the construction of the new Amenities Building. The timing of the onsite demolition and building work was scheduled from September 2021 onwards, so the 2021 Footy Season could finish unhindered.
