Community Financial Assistance Donations Round One 2020/21

Applications for the 2020/21 Community Financial Assistance Donations Round One will open Friday 31 July 2020. ‚Äč

“Each year Council offers two (2) rounds of Community Financial Assistance Donations to support local community groups and organisations across the Shire,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Denis Todd. “This is a great opportunity for these community groups and organisations to apply for some funding to support their projects which are still in the pipeline.”

“Community groups and organisations are encouraged to apply for funding up to the value of $500 to support local projects which promote and support people living in our towns and villages across the Shire area,” Cr Todd explained.

Applications are assessed against the following criteria: contribution to addressing gaps in service provision or community development programs and activities; activities which promote community development in a multicultural context and seek to address issues of access and equity; involvement from volunteers and self help initiatives which build upon Council’s contribution; consumer/user participation in management of services/activities; innovative and creative approaches to identified needs; and activities which use Council funding to attract further resources and funding.

To view the guidelines and submit your application visit the ‘Have Your Say’ tab on Council’s website. Applications are open from Friday 31 July 2020 and close 4:30pm on Friday 28 August 2020.

“To make the process more efficient, Council is now encouraging all community members to submit their Financial Assistance Donation Application online,” said Cr Todd. If community members do not have access to a computer there will be hard copy forms available from the Council Administration Offices in Coonabarabran and Coolah.

“With the recent events of 2020 impacting so many community groups, organisations and individuals this funding opportunity would be one not to miss out on,” concluded Cr Todd.
