Robertson Oval Dunedoo Amenities Block Completed

The completion of the new modern amenities building at Robertson Oval in Dunedoo has been welcomed by the Dunedoo community and user groups.

“It is wonderful to see the new amenities building at Robertson Oval come to life as it is such an amazing facility for the community of Dunedoo and the surrounding area,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “Funding for this project was provided by the Australian Government and a contribution from Council.”

“The Robertson Oval Advisory Committee, a committee of Council, was established to provide advice on behalf of sporting groups and the broader community on renewing and updating the facilities at the Oval. The outcome is a state-of-the-art amenity building that will service the needs of the community now and into the future. With large contemporary changerooms, toilets and kiosk as well as a car park, the facility will be highly used by sporting and community groups,” Cr Doolan explained.

The project was started in September 2021 and was completed in August 2022, with the entire project valued at $1,716,550. $1,591,954 was provided by the Australian Government, with Warrumbungle Shire Council contributing $124,596 from general funds.

Arrangements are being made to celebrate the completion of this project. The Robertson Oval Advisory Committee are planning an official opening and community celebration with a Welcome to Country, Touch Football display, building walk through and a BBQ lunch. More information to come on the Robertson Oval Advisory Committee Official Opening celebrations will be advertised closer to the date.

“It will be great to see the community turn out and celebrate these wonderful new amenities building,” Cr Doolan concluded.
