It’s Show Time!

With the local shows back in town it is time to get out and support the local events and a jam-packed day out!

“It’s great to see show societies and event committees in full swing, organising upcoming events and annual town shows across the Shire,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan.

“A local show is a family friendly day out with attractions and events such as dog high jumping, whip cracking demonstrations, automobile show and shines, full program rodeos, tractor pulls and pavilion displays of local arts, crafts and produce, as well as live entertainment. It’s safe to say there is something for everyone.”

“Unfortunately, last year local events and shows were cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions. This was a big disappointment for our region and our communities,” Cr Doolan explained. “Eliminating events and shows last year really hit our communities hard as it is a time for people to come together and have some fun, and coming out of one of the worst droughts I have ever seen, this lift in our communities was needed.”

“After the disappointment of last year, I am very glad to see committees and event organisers getting back into it, working hard and planning some amazing events for 2021!”

“Our region has so much to offer and attending these shows is a great way to see and really appreciate the region we live in,” Cr Doolan explained.

The Dunedoo Show was held last weekend and has set the show season off with a bang!
