Change in Level of Tooraweenah Road

Council is currently in the final preparation stages of the Tooraweenah Road Upgrade Project funded by the NSW Government.

This project will involve the sealing of the 3.4km unsealed section of the road and the construction of a major culvert to replace the existing causeway at Sawpit Creek, 16km from Mendooran.

The proposed culvert will raise the level of the road by 3.55m from the existing level, improve the vertical alignment of the road and reduce the number of occasions that road access is disrupted due to flooding.

The detailed plans of the major culvert and changes of the road level are available for public review at the Council Administration Building, 14-22 John Street, Coonabarabran and on Council’s website at www.warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au.

Any adjoining property owners affected by this proposal may make a written submission by post addressed to the General Manager, Warrumbungle Shire Council, PO Box 191, Coonabarabran NSW 2357 or by email at info@warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au.

Submissions are to be received by 4.00pm on Friday, 10 March 2023.
