A preliminary onsite meeting was held with members of the community at the Mullaley Recreation Grounds to establish the area in which the new multipurpose building will be situated. Discussions about the most appropriate type of power supply were also held and it was proposed that Council look into the option of solar power with generator backup.
A draft floor plan has been received and Council is in the process of obtaining quotes from local contractors for the works to be undertaken as per Councils procurement policy.
The demolition of the old canteen and toilet/shower block will take place early September in readiness for the earthworks for the slab to commence once the design has been approved.
