Stage 1 of the river rehabilitation work is nearing completion, with more than 1500 native plants already planted and thousands of weeds removed. Stage 2 of the weeding and planting work will commence in October 2023. A new concrete path is currently being designed, which will increase access to the river for the benefit of the local community and visitors to Coonabarabran.
