Riverbank weeding work has commenced as part of the Castlereagh River Rehabilitation Project. This project is supported by Council, the Community Project Group and Warrumbungle National Park Environmental Education Centre (WNPEEC).
A community information afternoon will be held on 11 August 2023 at the Coonabarabran Council Office to showcase the results of the following activities undertaken during the project:
• River rejuvenation plan
• Basymetric assessment
• River health monitoring
• eDNA monitoring
• River habitat mapping
