A community planting day will be held on Friday 25 August 2023 to help restore the beautiful Castlereagh River. Following weed removal of areas of riverbank, a mix of local riparian species will be planted to rehabilitate the area. The event will be attended by 75 Coonabarabran Public School and High School students, along with representatives from Coonabarabran Landcare. Coonabarabran Rotary Club will be cooking a BBQ lunch for the hard-working volunteers.
