Have you thought about holidaying here, in the Warrumbungle Region, this year? Tourism Australia has launched the campaign ‘Holiday Here This Year’ encouraging Australians to give the gift of travel this Christmas holiday season. This campaign highlights the depth and breadth of domestic tourism experiences that can easily be given as gifts. Residents of the Warrumbungle Region are being urged to get on board with this campaign and buy gift certificates for accommodation or experiences in our region, to gift as gifts this Christmas. The Warrumbungle region has everything from unique accommodation and farms stays to eco/nature tours and experiences, and great cafes, restaurants and catering services as well. Over the past few years the Warrumbungle communities have seen the devastating effects that the drought and COVID-19 has had on our tourism industry. This campaign is aimed at leading and assisting local businesses and operators on the road to recovery. Buying at least one voucher for a family member or friend this year will make a huge positive difference to the local economy across the region.
