Have your say in the 2022-2037 Warrumbungle Shire Community Strategic Plan

It is time for you to have your say on the Community Strategic Plan, to shape the future of the Warrumbungle Shire.

Community participation is crucial in shaping the vision of the Warrumbungle local government area by contributing to the creation of the next Community Strategic Plan. Have your say by reading through the current Community Strategic Plan (2017-2032), which is now on public exhibition for community members to reflect and comment on.

The Community Strategic Plan is a plan for the community. It outlines the things that are most important to our area, along with aspirations for the future. The actions contained in the Community Strategic Plan are not only for Council to carry out, but are shared with other levels of government, businesses, community groups and individuals to all work together in achieving the goals set by the community.

The new term of Council is a great opportunity to refresh the vision contained in the Community Strategic Plan for the coming 15 years so that it reflects the community’s aspirations and priorities. When submitting comments for the new Community Strategic Plan, think about what you believe to be the most important goals for the Warrumbungle Shire over the next 15 years. What is your vision? Is there something that is more important to you now than it was a few years ago? Have your say and shape a vision for the Warrumbungle Shire.

The 2022-2037 Warrumbungle Shire Community Strategic Plan will be built around the four themes of Civic Leadership, Supporting Community Life, Strengthening the Economy, and Caring for the Environment. We need to hear your ideas and input on what is most important for Council and the community to do in each of these areas.

Written submissions on the Community Strategic Plan are invited and can be submitted online under the Have Your Say tab on Council’s website, or in hard copy addressed to the General Manager, PO Box 191, Coonabarabran, NSW, 2357.

Submissions will be received until 4:00pm Tuesday 30 November 2021.
