Community Meeting on Health

In recognition of a number of health concerns being raised by members of the Warrumbungle community, Council will be holding a community meeting in Dunedoo on the evening of Monday 8 March 2021.

“The meeting is being called to discuss a number of health-related issues across the Warrumbungle Local Government Area” said Councillor Ambrose Doolan, Mayor of the Warrumbungle Shire. “Council has been approached by a number of residents expressing concern about these issues and particularly about the availability of doctors along with other health-related issues.”

“We have a lot of hard working and dedicated medical practitioners working in our area at the moment but we also understand that there are many difficulties for them. Council also recognises that the health of our communities is suffering without an adequate number of medical practitioners and the Warrumbungle economies are also suffering.”

“The meeting will be held at 5.45pm on Monday 8 March 2021 at the Dunedoo Central School Hall.”

Due to COVID restrictions the number of people attending will be limited and those wanting to attend are requested to book with Council’s Customer Service staff prior to the event on 6849 2000.

“This is an important but delicate issue and we must be respectful of others in the process” concluded Cr Doolan.
