Animals looking for owners or new homes

Ensuring your pet is microchipped and registered on the NSW Pet Registry makes it much easier for someone to return your pet to you if it gets lost. Use your NSW Pet Registry profile to report missing pets. This locks your pet’s information so no ownership details can be changed while they are missing.

What to do if you find a lost animal. The first step is to see if the collar has a name and contact details. If there are no contact details on the collar you can take it to any vet or Council to have the microchip scanned to find the owner.
