Local Transport Forum
The Local Transport Forum (formerly the Local Traffic Committee) is a technical group that advises the council on proposed traffic measures. The forum's goal is to ensure that new traffic plans meet both technical standards and local community needs.
What We Advise On
The forum provides advice on a range of traffic measures, including:

Vehicle movement restrictions: This includes things like "No Entry" signs and banning certain turns.

Regulatory signs and line markings: We advise on parking restrictions and other road signs and markings.

Road infrastructure: This covers physical changes like traffic islands, kerb extensions, roundabouts, and turning lanes.

Pedestrian crossings: We provide input on the placement and design of zebra and children's crossings.

Temporary controls: The forum also advises on temporary measures for special events or construction work zones.
Who Attends the Meetings
The forum meets regularly and includes representatives from several key organisations:

NSW Police (Orana Mid-Western Police District)

Transport for NSW (Regional and Outer Metro)

Nominees from the Members of NSW Parliament for the electorates of Parks.
