Your right to access information held by Warrumbungle Shire Council is governed by the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).

The GIPA Act promotes open and transparent government by providing the community with a right to access government information, unless there is an overriding public interest against disclosure.

This page explains how you can access information held by Council and provides links to GIPA forms, guides and registers.

GIPA Disclosure Log

Certain information about these applications must be published in Council's Disclosure Log, including:

  • the date the application was decided
  • a description of the information which was provided in response to the application
  • a statement as to whether Council intends to make the information available to other members of the public, and
  • how this information can be accessed

Clause 80(m) of the GIPA Act provides a right of review of a decision to include information in the Disclosure Log.  Personal information will not be included in the Disclosure Log.  The Disclosure Log will be updated as information is released under access applications.
