Council will be commencing construction works to replace the existing water main in Little Timor Street between Cowper and Charles Street, Coonabarabran to improve the water quality for local residents. Approximately two hundred and fifty (250) metres of water main will be replaced during a construction period of two (2) months. Works will commence in late September 2025.
Construction works will not occur every day of the week and will be undertaken intermittently throughout the two (2) month construction period. During construction hours on days which constructions works are occurring Little Timor Street between Cowper and Charles Street will be open to local residents only.
Any customers directly affected with water supply interruptions will be notified one week prior to water shut offs via door knock and letter box drop informing them of the dates and time of interruption.
Council staff may need to enter private property during works to access water meters.
