Warrumbungle Shire Council proudly welcomed four new Australian citizens at a heartfelt ceremony held on Thursday 16 April 2026.

The ceremony took place at the Coonabarabran Council Chambers, officiated by Mayor Kathryn Rindfleish, with support from Councillor Zoe Holcombe. The event marked an important milestone, and we welcome those who have chosen to make Australia, and the Warrumbungle region, their home.

Originally from the Philippines, our newest community members have now officially taken the final step in their journey to becoming Australian Citizens; Rosemary Kennedy, Christian Arcangel, Sebastian Arcangel and Queen Arcangel.

Mayor Rindfleish said citizenship ceremonies are among the most rewarding moments for Council, celebrating the stories, contributions and diversity that strengthen our Shire.

Welcome to our new citizens, we’re excited to have you as part of the Warrumbungle community.
