Warrumbungle Community Care Celebrates Local Volunteers

Warrumbungle Community Care recently celebrated the incredible contribution of its volunteers with a special appreciation lunch held at the Exchange Hotel in Binnaway.

Volunteers travelled from across the Warrumbungle region, including Coonabarabran and Coolah, to come together and celebrate the important role volunteering plays in supporting local communities.

Mayor Councillor Kathryn Rindfleish attended the event and thanked volunteers for the care, kindness and support they provide to residents across the region every day.

A special moment during the celebration was the cutting of the commemorative cake by long-standing volunteers Neville Wilkin and Marianne Jory, recognising their many years of dedication and service to the community.

Volunteers were also presented with gifts of appreciation in recognition of their invaluable contribution to Warrumbungle Community Care and the wider community.

Warrumbungle Community Care volunteers support a range of important local services, including Community Transport, Meals on Wheels and Individual Social Support Services, helping residents remain connected, supported and independent.

The event highlighted the strong spirit of volunteering and community connection that continues to make the Warrumbungle region such a supportive and caring place to live.
