Pool Season Fast Approaching
Published on 15 September 2025
With the warmer weather fast approaching, Warrumbungle Shire Council is excited to announce the Opening of the Coolah, Dunedoo and Coonabarabran Swimming Pool on Saturday 4 October 2025.
To help patrons hit the water from day one, Council is holding Season Ticket Purchase and Pool Side induction days in the lead-up to the opening.
These sessions will allow regular swimmers and families to:
• Purchase season tickets in advance.
• Complete the mandatory pool induction.
• Be ready to swim for the first day of the season.
Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Kathryn Rindfleish, said the pool season is always an important and well-loved time for local communities. “Our pools are much more than places to swim, they are places where families and friends come together, where children learn water safety, and where residents can enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle,” Cr Rindfleish said.
“Council is pleased to be opening the season, and I encourage all regular swimmers to take part in the induction sessions so they are ready to dive straight in from the first day.”
Did you know that a season ticket can be used at any of Council’s six pools? All you have to do once you’ve paid for your ticket is the mandatory induction at each pool.
All season tickets purchased from pools must be with cash. Alternatively, they can be purchased at Coolah or Coonabarabran Administration office during business hours.
