Construction is set to commence in the coming days on a new disability parking space in Dalgarno Street, Coonabarabran, following a period of public exhibition.
The new parking space will be located between the driveways of NAB and the Clock Tower Motor Inn.
The location was selected due to its proximity to essential services and retail shopping, ease of vehicle access, suitable footpath slope and compliance with Australian Standards for disability car parking.
Once completed, the space will provide people with a Mobility Parking Scheme permit with a convenient parking option within a short distance of nearby services and businesses.
Works will include:
Pedestrian access along Dalgarno Street between NAB and the Clock Tower Motor Inn will be disrupted while construction is underway.
Pedestrian access to both NAB and the Clock Tower Motor Inn will remain open throughout the works.
Vehicle parking directly in front of NAB will also be temporarily unavailable during construction.
Council thanks residents, visitors and nearby businesses for their patience while these works are completed.
