New Chapter for Dunedoo Post Office as the Community Celebrates the Grand Opening
Dunedoo NSW – The Dunedoo community has marked a significant milestone on Monday 26 May, with the official opening and ribbon cutting of the town’s new Post Office Location. The event was attended by Warrumbungle Shire Mayor Kathryn Rindfleish, General Manager Lindsay Mason, and a number of staff and community representatives.
The Post Office has now officially changed hands and will be operated by new owner, Scott Etherington. It has relocated to a new home in the heart of town, another addition to the historic Old Westpac Bank Building – a fitting new chapter for a space long associated with servicing the community.
The transition has been the result of extensive collaboration and dedication from both the Community and the Warrumbungle Shire Council staff, ensuring that essential postal services continue to be available locally.
‘This is a fantastic outcome for Dunedoo,’ Mayor Rindfleish noted, as the official ribbon cutter for the event. ‘Retaining these services in town is a huge advantage for residents and businesses alike. We thank everyone involved in this process over the past few months.’
The new location not only preserves access to critical services, but also adds increased foot traffic for the other businesses who have secured space in this building, including the museum and the library.
Scott Etherington expressed his excitement about the opportunity, saying, ‘It’s a privilege to be part of something so important for Dunedoo. I look forward to building on this foundation and continuing to serve the community.’
With strong local support and a fresh location, the future looks bright for postal services in Dunedoo.
