Individual Social Support Keeps Clients Connected

It has been a busy and enjoyable week for Warrumbungle Community Care clients, with two successful Individual Social Support outings bringing people together through friendship, fun and community connection.

On Tuesday 9 June, clients and staff travelled to Club Dubbo aboard the new monthly Bingo Bungle Bus for a day of bingo, socialising and entertainment. The group enjoyed plenty of laughs, friendly competition and the chance to win some prizes, with lunch also provided as part of the affordable day out.

The popularity of the Bingo Bungle Bus continues to grow, with more people joining each month to enjoy the opportunity to get out, meet new people and stay connected with their community.

The fun continued on Wednesday 10 June when a group of Individual Social Support clients from Coolah travelled to Club Mudgee for the popular Music & Melodies Show. Clients enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live entertainment, catching up with friends, singing along to favourite songs and creating lasting memories together.

Adding to the fun, Warrumbungle Community Care staff member Roxanne Sheridan joined "Elvis" on the dance floor, helping create a memorable experience that had clients smiling throughout the day.

Individual Social Support activities play an important role in helping people stay socially connected, maintain friendships and continue participating in community life. These outings provide opportunities for social interaction, recreation and wellbeing while reducing isolation and supporting positive mental health.
