Community invited to free Event Management Workshop

Council is inviting community groups, sporting clubs, volunteers, businesses and anyone interested in organising events to attend a free Community Event Management Workshop this September.

Presented by Council in partnership with its Risk Management and Insurance team, the workshop will provide practical guidance to help organisers plan and deliver safe, successful community events.

Whether you're planning a local fundraiser, sporting event, festival, market or community celebration, the workshop will cover the key considerations for managing risks and meeting your responsibilities as an event organiser.

Topics will include:

  • identifying and managing event risks
  • protecting attendees, volunteers and organisations
  • working with contractors and vendors
  • practical on-site risk management strategies
  • planning safe and enjoyable community events.

The workshops will be held at:

Coonabarabran Council Chambers
Tuesday 1 September
5.30 pm to 8.00 pm

Coolah Council Chambers
Thursday 3 September
5.30 pm to 8.00 pm

The workshop is free to attend, however registration is required.

Community groups, organisations, businesses and residents interested in hosting events are encouraged to attend.
