The second round of Community Financial Assistance Donations for 2024/25 are now open, so now is the time for community groups to plan for upcoming projects that may benefit from grant funding. “Each year Council offers two rounds of Community Financial Assistance Donations to support local groups and organisations,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Kathryn Rindfleish. “Council encourages community groups to apply for up to $500 to put towards a project that promotes or supports people living in our region.” “Over the last eight years Council has donated over $160,000 to more than 150 different community groups and organisations through the Community Financial Assistance Donations. Projects are diverse, and with a wide range of community groups among the recipients, funding has gone towards all kinds of sports, the arts, school and preschool programs, local shows, environmental projects, community events, local history, and groups supporting the community with services such as town community events, physical health and mental health,” said Cr Rindfleish. “It is great to see so many different groups and programs benefit from these community grants, and I’d strongly encourage any community group to put an application in for their various projects,” concluded Cr Rindfleish. Application forms, and the guidelines for donations, will be available on Council’s website under theHave Your Say tab.Hard copy application forms will also be available at Council Administration Offices in Coolah and Coonabarabran. Applications close at 4:30pm, Monday 3 March 2025 and will be considered at the March 2025 Council Meeting. No late submissions will be accepted.
