Draft CCTV Protocol Policy

The draft CCTV Protocol Policy is now on public exhibition for 28 days.

The Policy outlines guidelines for the installation, use and monitoring of CCTV systems in Council-managed areas. It aims to:

  • Improve public safety and security
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws
  • Promote transparency and community trust in the use of CCTV systems

Community feedback is invited until 4:30pm Friday 27 March 2026

What happens next

After the public exhibition period:

  • All feedback and submissions will be reviewed
  • The draft Policy will be presented to a future Ordinary Council meeting
  • Council will consider formal adoption
