Warrumbungle Shire Council invites community members to attend the Australia Day Awards Ceremonies 2026, held across towns throughout the Shire on Sunday 26 January 2026.
Australia Day is a time to Reflect, Respect and Celebrate. It is an opportunity to acknowledge the deep and ongoing connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country, while also recognising the many individuals and groups who strengthen our local communities through their commitment, care and contribution.
The Australia Day Awards Ceremonies celebrate everyday people who make a difference, and provide a chance for communities to come together to connect, acknowledge shared values, and recognise community spirit. Ceremonies will be held in the following locations across Warrumbungle Shire, with each event including the presentation of Australia Day Awards and a community gathering.
