Join Warrumbungle Shire Council and Gilgandra Shire Council for a thought-provoking morning exploring the future of drought resilience in Castlereagh Country.

This showcase will bring together local stakeholders, innovators, and influencers to share practical tools, emerging technologies, and diversification opportunities designed to strengthen our communities against future dry seasons.

Guest Speakers: 

  • Bede Young: Commercial Banking Manager from Rabobank with a passion for driving growth and building relationships.
  • Brooke Watts: A dynamic agribusiness professional from BRALCA who will explore how ag tech can strengthen drought preparedness and response.
  • Dr Anthony Kiem: Associate Professor from the University of Newcastle, who specialises in understanding the drivers and impacts of climate variability.
  • Gabrielle Schultz: from the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program, who works specifically with mental health in the farming community.
  • Dr Andrew Krause: Resilience Specialist from Projence and project manager for the Castlereagh Country Drought Resilience Plan.

This showcase will be filmed and will be created into a podcast, to ensure those who can’t make it to Baradine can still access the valuable conversations and insights shared by our experts.

This event is free, and we encourage you to attend in person.
