Level 1 water restrictions are currently in place in Binnaway, with Mendooran, Merrygoen and Coonabarabran to follow on upcoming dates.

Warrumbungle Shire Council will shut down the water mains in Coonabarabran in the following areas to facilitate upgrades to the water main network:
Tuesday, 25 November 2025 – 9:00 am to 12:00 pmKing Street (between Robertson Street and Namoi Street)
Tuesday, 2 December 2025 – 10:00 am to 12:30 pmKing Street (between Robertson Street and John Street)Robertson Street (between King Street and Cassilis Street)
Residents in the affected areas will have no access to the Council water supply system during the times provided.
Council staff may need to enter private property on the dates provided to access water meters during the works.
