Warrumbungle Blood Donors Continue to Make a Difference
Published on 29 May 2026
Local blood donors are continuing to make a life-saving impact through Warrumbungle Community Care's regular Lifeblood bus trips to Dubbo.
On Saturday 23 May, the Warrumbungle Community Care bus travelled to Dubbo with members of the Warrumbungle Cares Lifeblood Team onboard, supporting the ongoing need for blood donations across Australia.
The group of local donors continues to grow with each trip, providing residents with an opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying a social day out.
Warrumbungle Community Care thanked the staff at the Dubbo Donor Centre for their ongoing support and hospitality, as well as volunteer Rosie, whose post-donation snacks and milkshakes have become a much-anticipated tradition for participants.
Blood donations are vital in supporting patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care and other medical procedures. Lifeblood relies on regular donations to help meet ongoing demand across the country.
Community members interested in becoming a donor are encouraged to join the next Warrumbungle Community Care Lifeblood trip to Dubbo on 12 September.
