Applications are open for the 2025-26 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund (CRIF) annual funding round.

This funding is made available to help maintain and improve Crown land reserves and improve amenities for communities across NSW.

This year’s CRIF general grants will prioritise well-patronised reserves with projects that have a high community impact. These grants range from $50,000 up to $1 million. A total of $13.5 million is available for this year's funding round.

The assessment criteria for general projects are based on:

  1. Reserve usage criteria (40%) – Higher visitation numbers result in a higher score
  2. Community impact criteria (40%) – Assesses how the project will bring benefit
    to the community
  3. Deliverability and affordability criteria (20%) – Evaluates the capability to deliver the project

Funding is also available to assist reserves in managing invasive pests and noxious weeds, supporting NSW's biosecurity obligations. Pest and Weed grants will be for a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $200,000.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 5 December 2025.
