The Central West Cycle Trail forms a loop around the central west of NSW of almost 400km. It is a very generous bike trail designed to give cyclists a week long ride and a great, memorable cycling experience via the conerstone towns and villages of: Mudgee, Gulgong, Dunedoo, Mendooran, Ballimore, Dubbo and Wellington.
A recent innovation has been the publication of loops rides, which allows the cyclist the option to stay in a town for a few days while exploring the local environs with minimal luggage.
The trail travels through the indigenous Wiradjuri nation area, providing participants to experience their landscape. Locations visited give an insight into early colonial Australian history including “Explorers”, ” Bushrangers”, “Goldfields” and “Pastoral Runs” and cycle an ever changing landscape of Towns, Villages, Farming, National Parks and Reserves.
