PUBLIC EXHIBITION: Draft Councillor and Staff Interaction Policy
The Draft Councillor and Staff Interaction Policy provides a framework for Councillors when exercising their civic functions by specifically addressing their ability to interact with, and receive advice from, authorised staff.
Council have reviewed and update the Policy to align with requirements of Section 232 of the Local Government Act 1993, and upon presentation to Council at the 19 June 2025 Ordinary meeting, the proposed amendments were unanimously endorsed. The Policy complements, and should be read in conjunction with, Warrumbungle Shire Council's Code of Conduct Policy.
The Policy will be on public submission for 42 days in order to inform the community, and we invite submission of response.
Submissions must be received by 4:30pm on Monday 4 August 2025. .
