Notification of Drilling Works – Baradine Backup Bore

As part of Council’s bore refurbishment program, a new Backup Bore in Baradine is being constructed to replace the existing bore which has reached the end of its useful life.

The works will be delivered over two phases, with phase 1 of the works commencing on 7 July 2025 and are due for completion on 18 July 2025. Phase one of works will involve drilling a pilot hole for the bore down to the design depth of 220 meters below surface level. The location of the works is on the unnamed laneway between Barwon St and Darling St, Baradine.

As part of drilling works residents within a 150m radius of the proposed drill sites can expect noise disturbance for the duration of the drilling works. Works will be undertaken during construction hours 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am – 1pm on Saturday’s.
