Draft Project Management Policy

On display until 09 June 2026, 02:00 PM

Council is inviting community feedback on the updated Draft Project Management Policy, which aims to improve project delivery, strengthen project approvals and ensure all required legislative approvals are in place before projects begin.

Key updates to the policy include:

  • Including project finalisation as part of the project management lifecycle
  • Requiring projects over $500,000 to receive approval from the Executive Leadership Team, including the General Manager and Directors
  • Introducing mandatory checks to ensure development consents and any other required legislative approvals are in place before a project proceeds

The draft policy can be viewed online(PDF, 99KB) or at Council Administration Offices during business hours.

Council encourages residents, businesses and stakeholders to review the draft policy and provide feedback during the public exhibition period.

Submission close 2.00pm, Tuesday 9 June 2026

What happens next?

Following the exhibition period, a report outlining feedback received will be presented at a future Council meeting.
