$1,000 Grant for Clearing of Fence Lines from Sir Ivan Fire

Subsidy capped at $1,000 per property will be put in place for Sir Ivan Fire victims to pay for plant hire to clear road reserves where trees are deemed a threat to new property infrastructure or road users.
Burnt Fencing Wire Collection and Recycling

Thanks to Upper Hunter Shire Council, two metal recycling companies have offered to load and remove burnt fencing wire, posts and other ferrous metals from farms that have been affected by the Sir Ivan Fire, at no charge to farmers. The collection is planned for late October, date to be confirmed.

Minister for Justice Michael Keenan and New South Wales Minister for Emergency Services Troy Grant announced that assistance is being provided through the Commonwealth-State Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) for farmers impacted by New South Wales' devastating Sir Ivan bushfire.
