Design plans were prepared in April incorporating all the facilities with footpath linkages to existing amenities block and parking areas. Quotation documents reflecting the design were prepared. Also, quotations were sought for softfall for the playground equipment to ensure that the project scope is within the budget allocation.
Project estimates were prepared for the design published in March. The estimated project cost was significantly higher than the budget, due to a higher softfall specification required from the original proposal.
The interested stakeholders were consulted again to prioritise, and for staging different components of the project.
Currently, options are being analysed and softfall quotations sought for the revised scope. It is planned to finalise the scope and call for quotations in June.
