Mendooran Park Playground Upgrade

Project Overview

Mendooran Park is used by a wide range of people from the local community as well as surrounding communities. The township of Mendooran only has one park with playground equipment, and the upgrade of this equipment will make the facility a more usable, comfortable and safe. Additionally, the township of Mendooran is at the intersection of two (2) State Highways, so attracting passing motorists to stop in town will also benefit the community.

The provision of upgraded playground equipment in Mendooran will result in:

• increased number of activities being provided, due to improved facilities
• increased range of activities being provided, due to improved facilities
• increased numbers of users
• increased accessibility
• increased comfort when using the facility
• will meet current safety standards
• increased utilisation of the facility

The upgraded playground equipment will also provide improved safety and security for people using the facility, as well as the extending the usefulness of the facility.
