Wings N Things
An exciting new community event, Wings N Things, will be held at the Coonabarabran Aerodrome on Saturday 17 April 2021.
“This new community event is a family-friendly day out with lots to see and do for all ages including car and plane exhibits, joy flights and scenic flights available, market stalls, BBQ, music, pony rides and raffles,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “One of the highlights of the event will be an aerial display performed by the Red Bull Air Racer 2019 World Champ, Matt Hall, followed by presentation and talk in a hangar.”
“Wings n Things will allow locals to explore the joys of community clubs such as the Coonabarabran Aero Club (CARS) club, Coonabarabran Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA) and the Aero Club as well as promoting recreational flying with the flight simulator from the Coonabarabran High School,” said Cr Doolan.
“Holding a community event at the Coonabarabran Aerodrome, located on David Knight Drive, will be an amazing experience for everyone and if you haven’t been there before, the view from up there is incredible,” Cr Doolan explained.
“Thank you to the Coonabarabran Aero Club for hosting this event, which is supported by Council, and to all the clubs that have made this event possible, including Coona Automobile Restorers Society and Rotary.”
“This event will be beneficial to our local economy with local community members displaying what our region has to offer. I hope to see a strong turn out from communities as everyone is welcome to enjoy a great day out,” concluded Cr Doolan.
This event will be a COVIDSafe event and tickets must be purchased online at
www.123tix.com.au/events/16218/warrumbungle-wings-n-things
. All entry fees raised will go to the Coonabarabran Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA).
Wings N Things starts at 9:30am on Saturday 17 April 2021. To keep up to date with more information follow the Warrumbungle Region Facebook page or call the Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre on (02) 6849 2144.
