Warrumbungle Region shines bright at the 2024 Caravan and Camping Supershow!

The wonders of the Warrumbungle Region illuminated the hearts and minds of attendees at the recent Caravan & Camping Holiday Super Show in Sydney. Renowned as the astronomy capital of Australia, and proudly boasting the nation's first dark sky park, the Warrumbungle Region left an indelible mark on over 1,800 visitors. 

From 16 – 21 April 2024, at the Rosehill Racecourse, the Warrumbungle Region showcased its unparalleled night skies and celestial beauty to eager adventurers and nature enthusiasts. Attendees were captivated by the region's pristine skies, offering unparalleled opportunities for stargazing, astrophotography, and celestial immersion.

Home to iconic landmarks such as Siding Spring Observatory, where the Southern Hemisphere's largest optical telescope resides, the Warrumbungle Region is a haven for astronomers, amateur stargazers, and anyone enchanted by the cosmos. It being Australia's first Dark Sky Park ensures minimal light pollution, providing optimal conditions for observing the Milky Way and a myriad of celestial phenomena.
