Inland Rail Local Business Opportunities – Narrabri to North Star
Local businesses will have some great new opportunities with the Inland Rail project progressing.
“With the Inland Rail Narrabri to North Star (N2N) project being such a large development coming to our region, local businesses need to capitalise and make the most of the jobs and work opportunities that will arrive with this project, said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “The Inland Rail N2N will bring a positive boost to our local economy if our businesses jump on board with the opportunities arising.”
“There are numerous Inland Rail projects running simultaneously. The Narromine to Narrabri rail is 306km long and is the closest for our local businesses, as a 47km stretch will go through our Local Government Area near Baradine. Local businesses may also be willing to travel to other projects, such as the Narrabri to North Star Rail Project,” Cr Doolan explained.
“Local businesses are encouraged to take a few simple steps to keep informed and learn how to become a supplier for Inland Rail Projects.”
Businesses interested in the Inland Rail project can: subscribe to Inland Rail’s project newsletter and other communications, and Department of Infrastructure’s Inland Rail e-newsletter; attend Inland Rail Community Drop-In Sessions; create a company profile with ICN that is a network of experienced industry procurement and supply chain specialists who introduce businesses large and small to projects large; register with Tenderlink; sign up for Inland Rail workshops; like and follow Council’s Facebook page to ensure you receive notifications regarding the N2N project.
“This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of such a large project and I would like to encourage businesses to take the appropriate steps needed to get involved,” Cr Doolan concluded.
To find out more on the Inland Rail newsletters, workshops and drop in sessions as well as to view the exact Inland Rail route visit the Inland Rail website www.inlandrail.com.au.
For more information about making a profile to become a supplier with ICN go to https://gateway.icn.org.au/
Any more information or support businesses can contact Council’s Manager Economic Development Tourism on (02) 6849 2000 or info@warrumbungle.nsw.gov.au.
