Coonabarabran Water Update - 21 September 2018

On Friday, 21 September 2018, the water level at Timor Dam was 21.9% of dam capacity.

Average daily water consumption for the period to Friday, 21 September 2018, was 0.73Ml per day.

Water consumption has increased with the re-filling of the Coonabarabran swimming pool which commenced this week, as previously advised in Council’s media release, 6 September 2018. It is estimated to take between 7 – 10 days to complete.

With Level 6 water restrictions still in place in Coonabarabran Council has considered many different options in regards to the filling of the Coonabarabran pool. After taking everything in to consideration it was decided that the Coonabarabran swimming pool will be filled with a combination of water from the town supply and a bore at the rear of the Visitor Information Centre.
