Yuluwirri Kids is a community childcare centre, owned and auspiced by Warrumbungle Shire Council and staffed by a dedicated team of employees.
Yuluwirri Kids receives funding from the NSW Department of Education and Communities, and the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.

Our centre provides four separate educational rooms. Each room is specifically designed and resourced to suit the needs of each age group, with a particular focus in the Giraffe Room on life skills development and school transition programs.
0-2 years (“Panda Room”)
This room is a place for children to discover their world, make connections and for attachments with adults, peers and to gain confidence in their world.
2-3 years (“Possum Room”)
This room is a place for promoting independence and self help skills, developing friendships and relationships, it’s a place to discover, investigate and explore their world.
3½-5 years (“Giraffe Room”) (Children eligible to start school next year)
This room is a place for children to learn about their world and their place within it. They will make discoveries, research, hypothesis, build relationships, make connections and challenge their minds and bodies.
3-5 years (“Monkey Room”) - operates on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the school terms from 8.30am to 4pm and runs at the Robertson St Campus at 14 Robertson St, Coonabarabran.
The Yuluwirri Kids/Connect 5 - Monkey Room was established in 2011 to assist in managing our extensive waiting list. It is a place for children to experiment and evaluate. They will investigate and explore their world, develop friendship and relationships; they will make discoveries, conduct research, make connections and challenge their mind and bodies.
We believe that as Early Childhood professionals, we play a vital role in the provision of quality care and education and make a valuable contribution to the lives of children. We act as a link between children, families, colleagues and the wider community, advocating for all children and promoting the importance of Early Childhood Education for LIFE LONG LEARNING. We believe that developing environments and facilitating relationships with children which support, empower and inspire their quest for knowledge is at the essence of our role.
Passion, research, innovation, collaboration and teamwork are key qualities that reflect our commitment to the Early Childhood profession. We believe that strong work partnerships are formed through developing relationships with each other that are sensitive, accepting, respectful and understanding towards each others perspectives.
Annual Enrolment Fee: $30.00 (a centre hat will be provided as part of this fee)
Long Day Care:
Hours of Access: 7.30am to 5.30pm 6 weeks - 6 year’s of age $77.00 per day less child care benefit (individually assessed by Centrelink)
Long Day Care Fees are subsidised by Child Care Benefit (CCB is a payment from the Australian Government that helps with the cost of child care) & Child Care Rebate (CCR is a payment from the Australian Government that helps working families with the cost of child care) Jobs, Education & Training (JET child care fee assistance supports activities for a limited time while you are working, training or studying so you can enter or re-enter the workforce.
Preschool:
Hours of Access: 8.30am to 4.00pm 3-6 year’s of age.
Children can be enrolled at Preschool up to 2 days per campus, with the rest of the week being enrolled as Long Day Care.
Year before school full price: $38.00 per day Year before school 2 day subsidy: First day $38.00, second day enrolled $20.00 ($58.00 2 days)
Low-Income Health Care Card Subsidy: $20.00 per day Indigenous Subsidy: $12.50 per day
Unfunded Preschool: $60.50 per day (Children who are 3 years old and are not from a family holding a low-income health care card and/or is indigenous)
Working families using registered care may be entitled to CCB – refer Human Services(Centrelink)
Early & late fees:
$1 per minute per child will be charged if a child is in attendance outside the preschool hours (8.30am - 4.00pm) and long day care hours (7.30am - 5.30pm).
Please note fees are subject to change with CPI increases and at the beginning of calendar & financial years.
