Coonabarabran Sporting Complex and Multipurpose Courts

Project Overview

Construction of the Coonabarabran Sporting Complex – Multipurpose Courts will include construction of five (5) multipurpose hard courts – built as per Netball Australia Court Specification Guidelines. Courts will also be marked and have suitable hoops to play other sports including basketball. Courts will also be able to be used for informal activities and play that require a hard surface. The project also includes associated landscaping in this section of the complex and lighting. The construction of the Coonabarabran Sporting Complex Multipurpose Courts is proudly funded by the NSW Government  in association with Warrumbungle Shire Council.

 

Project Updates

The multipurpose courts in Coonabarabran have now been completed and are open to the public. Members of the community joined Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional Development, John Barilaro, and Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Denis Todd, on Wednesday, 10 October 2018, to officially open the Coonabarabran Sporting Complex – Multipurpose Courts.

Funding for the project was provided under Round One of the NSW Governments’ Stronger Country Communities Fund. Additional funding for the project was provided by Warrumbungle Shire Council.

Construction of the multipurpose courts saw the development of five (5) multipurpose hard courts with lighting and surrounding landscaping and fencing.
