Baradine Skate and Activity Park

Project Overview

In early 2017 a working group was established that consists of local community members including potential users, business owners, Yowie & Friends Inc., and Ability Links NSW. This group identified the need to provide a safe, accessible, inclusive, and creative area that can be utilised for a wide variety of activities, by a wide variety of people within the Baradine township.

The Baradine Oval Complex was identified as the preferred location for the skate park. The existing complex consists of a main sporting oval used predominately for rugby league, league tag, cricket, and athletics, netball courts, and a mini rugby league field.

The objective of this project is to provide a safe, accessible, inclusive, and creative area that can be utilised for a wide variety of activities. This will be achieved by constructing a new skate park within the existing oval complex.

Predominantly designed for skateboard, BMX, and scooter riders, the skate park also has the capacity to accommodate other activities such as roller skates/ blades, remote control cars, toddler trikes, and ball sports including handball.
