Warrumbungle Shire Council Election Results Announced

The NSW Electoral Commission has confirmed the results for the Warrumbungle Shire Council elections, with nine new Councillors set to serve the Shire for the next four years.

As the number of candidates matched the number of available positions, the election has been uncontested. Consequently, there will be no election held for the Warrumbungle Shire Council LGA on 14 September 2024.

The elected Councillors for Warrumbungle Shire Council in order of nomination are:
• Zoe Holcombe
• Ray Lewis
• Debra Bell
• Kathryn Rindfleish
• Dale Hogden
• Kodi Brady
• Denis Todd
• Naomi Taylor
• Jason Newton

“An Extraordinary Meeting of Council will be held on 19 September 2024 at 5:00pm in Coonabarabran where Councillors will take an oath or affirmation then the Mayoral Election will take place. Some additional items will also be dealt with at the meeting,” Warrumbungle Shire Council’s General Manager Roger Bailey stated.

Mr. Bailey also highlighted the efforts of the Executive Services team, who are working to ensure a smooth transition for the new Council. “We have a comprehensive induction program planned for Councillors to foster confidence within the community as we begin this new term,” he said.
