Small Business Month Scholarships

Local small businesses are encouraged to apply for fully funded mentoring scholarships through the Mentoring Advisory Panel (MAP) Institute.

“Through funding from the NSW Government, Council is offering complimentary mentoring scholarships to local businesses through the MAP Institute,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “The program aims to provide direction, solve challenges, improve productivity and performance, customise strategies to achieve goals, and establish networks.”

These scholarships are worth over $495 for each person and are fully funded and delivered by collaboration partner, the MAP Institute.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our small businesses as by becoming a MAP member, operators can connect with like-minded business communities looking to solve common challenges, or improve productivity, performance, and profit, or assist achieving goals through accountability,” Cr Doolan explained.

These scholarships are being offered as part of the upcoming Small Business Month which is held in March 2022. The program will meet once a week during March 2022 for approximately 1 hour. Council is offering a limited number of scholarships.

Registrations must be submitted before the end of February 2022.

“We have many new businesses in the region too, and this scholarship is ideal to assist with networking and to provide certainty, focus on targeted direction, and drive growth,” Cr Doolan concluded.
