Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate

Are you a sole trader, the owner of a small business of a not-for-profit organisation? If you are, you may now be eligible for a small business fees and charges rebate of $1500.

“This rebate aims to help small businesses recover from the immense impacts of COVID-19,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Ambrose Doolan. “Injecting $1500 into small businesses to assist with costs associated with running a business will assist many owners to get back on their feet after this unprecedented impact.”

The rebate can be used for eligible fees and charges that small businesses need to pay between 1 March 2021 until 30 June 2022. This includes, but is not limited to, food authority fees, liquor licences, tradesperson licences, events fees, and council rates. All fees and charges that are eligible for this rebate can be found at www.service.nsw.gov.au/small-business-fees-and-charges-rebate

“Council would like to encourage all our small businesses across the region to jump online and have a look at the eligibility criteria and apply for this rebate,” said Cr Doolan.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to have business fees subsidised for the 2021/22 financial year, aiming to give NSW small businesses a boost while still recovering from the unexpected damage from COVID-19,” Cr Doolan concluded.

Eligible businesses may need a ServiceNSW Account to apply online. For those unable to apply online, call Service NSW on 13 77 88.
