Sewer Mains Rehabilitation – Coolah, Coonabarabran and Dunedoo

Sewer main rehabilitation works have been completed in Coolah, Coonabarabran and Dunedoo to improve the sewer systems.

“Crews from Interflow have worked throughout these towns to clean and rehabilitate sections of Council’s sewer mains via re-lining processes,” said Warrumbungle Shire Council Director Environment and Development Services, Leeanne Ryan. “These re-lining works are set to improve and increase the lifespan of the sewer mains without any mechanical excavation to physically replace the mains.”

“In total, there were approximately 850 metres of 150 millimetre sewer mains re-lined and 145 metres of 225 millimetre sewer mains re-lined during this year’s capital projects program.”

“The community will see further benefits of these rehabilitations works as they will prevent sewer main blockages and overflows in these re-lined areas whilst also reducing the infiltration of ground water into Council’s sewer systems,” Mrs Ryan concluded.

These works have now been completed and Council will continue to identify and repair sewer assets among these townships in the new financial year.
