Section 430 Investigation Final Report

Under Section 430 of the Local Government Act, the Chief Executive of the Office of Local Government (OLG) has the power to investigate the operations of a Council. In February 2018, the Minister for Local Government issued terms of reference for the investigation of Council. The investigation was centred around processes and decisions made by Council in relation to waste services, water supply and water quality.

The Final Report was provided to the Minister for Local Government, the Hon. Shelley Hancock MP who tabled the report in Parliament and a copy of the report was then provided to Council on Friday 25 October 2019.

Council’s response to the Final report was submitted to the Minister on Thursday 18 December 2019.
