Ronni Kahn and Diana Ryall announced as Warrumbungle Shire’s Australia Day 2022 Ambassador

Join Australia Day Ambassador, Ronni Kahn AO and Ms Diana Ryall AM, at Warrumbungle Shire’s Australia Day events and activities.

On Wednesday 26 January the Warrumbungle community is encouraged to Reflect, Respect and Celebrate our nation and our people – and especially our strong sense of community in times of adversity. Australia Day 2022 will present a particularly poignant and special opportunity to recognise the resilience of Australians and to focus on what we can achieve as a community and nation.

This year we want to unite our community and pay tribute to the Australian spirit. We’re extremely grateful our Australia Day Ambassadors, Ronni Kahn AO and Ms Diana Ryall AM will be joining our communities to offer inspiration and share their optimistic messages and stories. 

Known for her work as a social entrepreneur and founder of food rescue charity OzHarvest. Ronni Kahn AO is proud to be an Australia Day Ambassador and will be joining Binnaway, Baradine and Coonabarabran communities with their celebrations. Ms Diana Ryall AM is a leading voice for climate action, equality and inclusion in Australia and is also proud to be an Australia Day Ambassador in 2022. Ms Diana Ryall AM will be joining the Mendooran, Dunedoo and Coolah communities for their celebrations.  

Australia Day Ambassadors generously volunteer their time and share their story at hundreds of community events. Over 30 years, Ambassadors have inspired thousands of people in activities as diverse as the communities themselves, and 2022 will be no different.

Drawing inspiration from our Ambassadors, the communities throughout Warrumbungle Shire are encouraged to make a difference this Australia Day by supporting community businesses. Simple efforts such as arranging restaurant/cafe bookings or buying locally made products will boost the Australia Day spirit.

On this public holiday, it is essential as we live with COVID-19 that we plan ahead and book restaurants/cafes and adhere to the public health orders at the time.
